Background: Heterozygous de novo variants in SAMD9 cause the complex multisystem growth disorder, MIRAGE syndrome. Core features are myelodysplasia, infection, restricted growth, adrenal hypoplasia, genital/gonadal phenotypes, and enteropathy.
